Tom Cruise -- Betrayed by Scientology?

Tom Cruise was secretly videotaped as he spilled his guts in Scientology confessional sessions, and those tapes became fodder for Scientology cocktail party humor ... this according to a high-profile and former high-level member of Scientology.

Mark Rathbun says in his blog, he recorded Cruise during the confessional sessions and Scientology guru David Miscavige read the transcripts at parties, "joking and laughing" at them.

Rathbun says the video was "well-concealed" in the VIP auditing room, per orders of Miscavige. Rathbun says Miscavige ordered him to prepare transcripts of the sessions. The, according to Rathbun, Miscavige would hold late night whiskey parties, reading the transcripts and laughing out loud.

The nature of Tom's alleged confessions were not disclosed.

Kate Gives Sextuplets Daddy Time for Birthday

Kate Gosselin has decided to give her sextuplets the one thing they want on their birthday that no one else on that planet would wish for -- a little quality time with Jon Gosselin.

The X Factor 2008 finalist says the woman helped expel an evil spirit.
'My record company put me in a house on Sloane Square and I got really bad vibes from the minute I walked in,' explains Diana.
'I slept with the light on for four months and I used to hear tapping in the night...
'Eventually I got an exorcist to come round and she told me there was the ghost of a little boy in the house. She did an exorcism and sent him away.'
Diana, 18, admits it's not the only supernatural experience she's had.
'I swear I saw a ghost in my mum and dad's bedroom when I was little,' she insists.
'Another time, I was on the bed and this force grabbed my head and hit me. I flew forward and hit the wall...It was so weird. We moved out of that house!'

EastEnders was the big winner at the British Soap Awards on Saturday night - scooping 10 trophies.


The BBC drama was named Best Soap and also took home gongs for Best Single Episode and Best Storyline.

Stars Scott Maslen and Lacey Turner won the Best Actor and Best Actress Awards.

Coronation Street bagged 3 prizes, while Emmerdale and Hollyoaks could only manage one win each.

Seal Renew and Heidi Klum their Wedding Vows

Keeping with tradition, Heidi Klum and Seal celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary on Saturday by renewing their vows in front of their children and a few close family members at sunset on a beach in Costa Careyes, Mexico.

After the ceremony, about 80 guests joined the happy couple at their home for an outdoor reception under a palapa – an open-air, thatched-roof hut – decorated with dozens of chandeliers, thousands of candles and all white flowers.

Contrary to last year's retro-themed celebration, this year's theme was a bit more traditional: guests dressed in white and black as brides and grooms.

"They wanted it to feel like a real wedding, but still have a theme," a source tells PEOPLE of their celebration.

The fun began Friday night with dinner and a karaoke party. The source says both the bride, 36, and groom, 47, sang for their guests, who were invited to the posh Mexican beach town by a tiered wedding cake-shaped invitation with bobble heads inside of the whole family, designed by invitation company Lehr & Black.

The sentiment? "Five years: Piece of cake!"

Klum recently opened up to Redbook about their annual tradition. "It's our time – a lovely family time," she told the magazine. "It's about remembering this moment of love we gave to each other and reinforcing it."

The two are parents to Leni, 6, Henry, 4, Johan, 3, and new addition Lou, 7 months. "It's so special to us, something we love and something our children have gotten accustomed to," Klum says. "It's like, 'Hey, Mom and Dad love each other and they get married every year!' "

Added Seal: "Each year, Heidi and I get remarried. It's a great party, but for about an hour, we go off on our own down to a private beach. We sit there with the kids and read vows to each other as the sun sets. It's a very special moment to us."

Bobby Brown Gets Engaged – On Stage!

For concertgoers at Metro Park in Jacksonville, Fla., on Friday, the hottest ticket at the annual Funk Fest wasn't the performance by '90s girl group SWV or the line for fruity refreshments as temperatures climbed into the 90s. It was watching singer Bobby Brown propose to his girlfriend of nearly three years, manager Alicia Etheridge.

Etheridge joined Brown on stage, holding their 11-month-old son Cassius, he got down on one knee and presented her with a ring. The crowd roared its approval as a beaming Etheridge kissed Brown, who remained kneeling.

Brown, who had a troubled 15-year marriage to Whitney Houston and most recently appeared on Celebrity Fit Club, seemed elated to have the audience in his corner.

"We shouted, we screamed," fan Carol Pearsall told the Florida Times-Union. "We supported him."

Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry have been separated 'for some time'

While news recently broke that actress Halle Berry and her model beau Gabriel Aubry are splitsville, it appears that the news is not so new.
Berry’s spokesperson confirmed to CNN that the pair broke up awhile ago.
"Berry and Aubry have been split for some time, but they remain close friends and committed parents to their daughter," the spokesperson said in a statement released to CNN.
Berry and Aubry, who met several years ago on the set of a photo shoot, were together for five years. They are the parents of a two year old daughter, Nahla.
Berry had previously been involved in two high profile marriages.
She divorced former baseball player David Justice in 1997 after five years of marriage. She divorced R&B singer Eric Benet in 2005 after four years, amidst reports of infidelity on his part.

Singing artist nominated for Britain's Turner Prize

LONDON (Reuters) – Berlin-based Susan Philipsz, whose artworks center around recordings of her voice singing folk songs in public spaces, is one of the four nominees for Britain's top art award.

The Turner Prize, awarded to British artists under the age of 50 for an outstanding exhibition or other presentation, is handed out annually and traditionally attracts popular debate about the nature and role of art.

Philipsz, 44, was nominated for presentations of her work at the International Festival of Visual Art in her native Glasgow and in Mirrors at the Museo de Arte Contemporanea de Vigo in Spain. "Whether encountered in a stairwell, supermarket or on a promenade, the artist's voice interjects through the ambient noises of the everyday, often eliciting collective and subjective recollections or meditative introspection," Tate Britain, which runs the Turner, said Tuesday.

Also on the shortlist is the Otolith Group comprising Anjalika Sagar, 42 and Kodwo Eshun, 44, who both live and work in London.

The writers and curators investigate "overlooked histories ... in order to reopen the potential of our relation to the present and the future." They were nominated for "A Long Time Between Suns" at Gasworks and The Showroom.

Angela de la Cruz, 45, was shortlisted for her solo show "After" at Camden Arts Center, and Dexter Dalwood, 49, for a solo exhibition at Tate St. Ives.

Dalwood was the bookmakers' early frontrunner for the coveted prize, with William Hill making him the 2/1 favorite.

"Dexter Dalwood is the obvious favorite as his work is well know and easy on the eye," said Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.

Behind Dalwood in the odds came the Otolith Group, de la Cruz and Philipsz as the early outsider.

Previous winners of the Turner Prize include Antony Gormley, Damien Hirst and Chris Ofili.

The four nominees each present a work at Tate Britain in London for an exhibition which opens on October 4. The winner, who receives a check for 25,000 pounds ($38,000), is announced on December 6.

Laura Bush's 'Spoken from the Heart'

(EW.com) -- Laura Bush never interested me much until Curtis Sittenfeld wrote an addictively readable novel based on her, "American Wife."
As I read "Spoken From the Heart," passages from "American Wife" echoed in my head. "Wow," I thought, "Sittenfeld really nailed her."
Ever correct, Laura Bush does not mention Sittenfeld's novel, or much else that she finds distasteful. As First Lady, she quietly pursued the causes that mattered to her literacy, the plight of Afghan women but remained largely in her husband's shadow.
Here she emerges, in fitful snatches, as a bookish, brainy, nervous woman, haunted by the car accident she caused at 17, which killed a classmate. "It is a guilt I will carry for the rest of my life, far more visible to me than the scar etched in the bump of my knee," she writes.
The early stretches of "Heart" will resonate with anyone who grew up in small-town America. Midland, Texas, Bush writes, was "a place of ice cream sundaes...and Saturday morning pony rides." She was 31 when she married George Bush there, leading one town biddy to remark, "Can you imagine? The most eligible bachelor in Midland marrying the old maid of Midland?"
The rest of the book lacks the sweetness and poignancy of these first pages. It becomes a weary recitation of trips taken, dresses worn, meals eaten nothing more.
For a woman devoted to her family, Bush has revealed little about her children and nothing new about her husband (though she alludes to a few personal differences, saying, "I had talked to George about not making gay marriage a significant issue" in the 2004 campaign). She does manage to neatly disembowel her mother-in-law, Barbara: "When I married George, I had thought I would be embraced by his mother every bit as much as he was embraced by mine.... What I came to see ultimately as our bond was that we both loved George.... Beyond that, we had little contact."
What it boils down to is this: Anyone who wants to know what makes Laura Bush tick will come away disappointed. The intensely private former First Lady seems almost a shadowy spectator in her own memoir.

Strong, Sleek and Minimalist at Calvin Klein for Fall

New York – "Minimal, sexy, powerful and very close to the body," was how creative director Kevin Carrigan characterized the latest looks for Calvin Klein women's and men's sportswear, jeans and underwear collections for Fall 2010.
"I wanted all the clothes to have a streamlined, aerodynamic feel to them," he said at the preview for the collection on Thursday, April 29, in New York. "Almost athletic."
Lest this sound like wearing scuba gear or a unitard, Carrigan emphasized that it was about a return to luxury, both in the tactility of the soft fabrics and in sharper, more elegant ensembles.
"I feel that people are enjoying being dressed up again," he said. "But I want them to be comfortable."
To achieve the close to the body look, Carrigan said that Lycra was used in everything to create something soft and supple that moved with the body.
"The fabrics are all engineered to contour your body," he said.
Highlights of the sleek designs for women, mostly in black and gray, consisted of skintight stirrup pants with leather panels at the knees like riding pants, a minimal take on the motorcycle jacket with a simple asymmetrical silver zip and jersey sheath dresses with waist-defining leather panels.
There were also military influences, but not of the drab camo or olive green variety. Instead, Carrigan looked to dressier aspects of military dress, like the special occasion uniforms worn by officer cadets.
The Calvin Klein Jeans collection was likewise dressy - "returning to a little decadence," said Carrigan - with a golden sheen on super skinny "jeggings" for women, a dirtier gold rinse on the men's denim and gold hardware all around. And continuing in the streamlined mode, "it's the skinniest, skinniest leg we've ever done at Calvin Klein," said Carrigan, but quickly added that they're designed to be very comfortable and engineered to flatter, whether you're skinny or curvy.
"It's darted and seamed to support a woman's curve," he explained. "So if a woman is slightly slim, and she doesn't have a booty, it's literally lifting and helping give her one. And if she has more shape, it's controlling her shape."
With such body conscious clothing, that is "slim, skinny, almost like a pencil sketch, or the shadow of a Sharpie sketch," the urgency one might feel in getting to the gym seems inevitable. But fear not, Carrigan reassured, because the futuristic scenario where clothes do the work of several thousand hours on the elliptical is here.
"These clothes actually cheat a little," he explained. "They flatter you in a way that make you feel sexy when you put them on, because they're cut for a woman's body and curves, but at the same time they're comfortable. It doesn't matter about going to the gym. The clothes do it for you."

Youngest 'Idol' contestant hails from rural Pa.

PHILADELPHIA – On "American Idol," Aaron Kelly, who has battled through laryngitis and tonsillitis, has been praised for his good manners and gentlemanly attitude.
And the 17-year-old high school student is also the youngest contestant.
"I always said that I was Southern-raised. ... 'Yes, sir,' 'yes, ma'am' — that's how my mom had taught me," Kelley said in an interview with The Morning Call of Allentown. "I'm having a ball right now. ... It's a ton of fun and it's a great learning experience."
The pint-sized singer with a flair for country music was born in the Gulf Coast town of Sarasota, Fla., and lived in Florida before moving to Sonestown, in northern Pennsylvania, about five years ago.
With his appearance on "American Idol," his new community has especially embraced him with billboards and signs everywhere saying: "Welcome to Sullivan County, home of Aaron Kelly," "Good Luck Aaron Kelly!" and "Vote for Aaron Kelly."
When Kelly was a toddler, he and his older brother, Curtis, survived a house fire in which both suffered burns, according to family members. After the fire, the family struggled financially. Aaron, Curtis and another brother, Joshua, were then adopted by an aunt and uncle — Greg Kelly, and his former wife, Kelly, who is in Los Angeles guiding Aaron through the competition. The boys were eventually raised in Sonestown, a small town about 120 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
Aaron's father and his brother Joshua, a Marine based in San Diego, have also shown their support, cheering for the teen in the "American Idol" studio audience.
Now a high school sophomore, Kelly started singing at a family gathering when he was 6 and soon started performing at festivals and anywhere else he could. He says he loves the popular side of country, especially Rascal Flatts. In Pennsylvania, he has taken his brand of country to rural fairs.
In recent weeks, Kelly had not wowed the judges on "American Idol." But last week, he won them back with his booming take on Shania Twain's "You've Got a Way" that included changing the lyrics from "the way we make love" to "the way you show love."
Simon Cowell said the passionate performance made Kelly seem like a "different artist" after weeks ho-hum endeavors.

'Baywatch' beauty banished from 'Dancing' ballroom

LOS ANGELES – Perhaps the most popular actress to perform on "Dancing With the Stars" has done her last dance.
Pamela Anderson was ousted from the hit ABC show Tuesday.
Judges praised the 42-year-old sex symbol throughout the season for her dedicated performances and convincing characterization. They appreciated the waltz she and professional partner Damian Whitewood performed on Monday's episode, giving it a score of 24 out of 30. Viewers, though, failed to keep the "Baywatch" beauty afloat.
Judges' scores are combined with viewer votes to determine which celebrity is cast off each week.
"This has been one of the best experiences of my life — and that says a lot. I've had a lot of good experiences," Anderson said after learning her fate.
She thanked her partner and said she wishes her fellow dancers well.
"I love everybody here," she said.
Anderson said that learning to dance allowed her to focus in a way she hadn't before.
"I'm really proud of the effort I've put into it," she said. "I've never been able to apply myself in this kind of way. This is a dream come true."
Whitewood said working with Anderson was something of a dream come true as well.
"You've been an amazing person to work with and so dedicated to learning how to dance," he said, thanking her.
Tuesday's results show also featured a musical performance by Train and a dance performance by the stars of Cirque du Soleil's "Viva Elvis" show.
Five celebrities remain in contention for the mirrorball trophy: Singer Nicole Scherzinger, Olympic figure skater Evan Lysacek, actress Niecy Nash, sportscaster Erin Andrews and football star Chad Ochocinco.
Reality stars Kate Gosselin and Jake Pavelka, astronaut Buzz Aldrin and actors Shannen Doherty and Aiden Turner were eliminated on previous episodes.
The remaining contestants will each perform two dances on Monday. The entire spring cast is expected to perform on the season's final episodes, May 24 and 25.
