India vs England live score: Ind 8 for 1, Sehwag gone for zero
The third cricket test match between India and England is set to get going with England winning the toss and deciding to field. The match is being played amid continued rioting across the UK including Birmingham where the match is being played.
In an unprecedented instance of rioting, the burning and rioting have spread to many new areas and even large establishments including Sony warehouses and big retail chains too have come under attack. The players were locked down for the last two days in their hotel rooms and were not allowed to venture out.
India have already lost the first two test matches of the four matches series rather badly. Both the test matches that at one time or the other looked going India’s way, were ultimately won by a superior England side that have shown that professionalism is what win at the end of the day.
Geoffry Boycott rightly said the other day that the sort of shots that Raina played could have been better handled by his mom than any other England batsman. He said that the Indian batsmen have become accustomed to batting on slow pitches where the balls do not go beyond waistline and whenever this happens they are rattled and end up losing the matches.
Indian batsmen with the exception of seasoned Rahul Dravid have shown little patience to stand at the crease and score runs. Even Tendulkar, Laxman and Dhoni, who used to be the Apple of media eyes have failed abysmally.
Meanwhile in today’s match there are several top players who are missing. The list is topped by Speedster Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh who has been an utter failure and Yuvraj Singh who was recalled for the second test match.
In the meantime Amit Mishra, Virendra Sehwag and Gautam gambhir’s comeback to the team may be great positive sides for the Indian team. A lot will depend on the opening partnership and the middle order resistance against great swing bowling from English bowlers.
