Glee Madonna album tops US chart

The Madonna-themed soundtrack from an episode of hit television series Glee has made its debut at number one in the US album chart.
The Power of Madonna, consisting of the pop star's hits performed by the cast, sold 98,000 copies in its first week of release, according to official figures.
It is the first Glee soundtrack to top the US chart.
Veteran rock act AC/DC were beaten into second spot with their latest album, Iron Man 2.
Almost 75% of sales of the Glee Madonna album were via downloads, Nielsen SoundScan added.
Two previous releases from the TV show, the music from its first two seasons, made the top five.
The two albums have so far sold nearly 1.5 million copies in the US.
The new release, based on just one episode of the programme, contains Madonna hits including Like a Prayer and Vogue.
It is the first TV soundtrack to top the US album chart since High School Musical 2 in 2007, which spent four weeks in the number one slot.
